What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shop Laborer position at Electric Power Door?
We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Shop Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with various tasks around the shop, ensuring a clean and efficient working environment. The role involves a variety of responsibilities, including sandblasting, cutting, drilling/tapping, and helping out where needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform sandblasting tasks to prepare materials for paint.
- Cut, drill, and tap materials according to shop drawings
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop area
- Assist in loading/unloading materials and supplies as needed
- Operate shop machinery and tools safely and efficiently
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment as directed
- Help with general shop duties and miscellaneous tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience with sandblasting, cutting, and drilling/tapping is a plus, but we are willing to train
- Ability to operate hand and power tools safely
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions
- Physical stamina to handle manual labor tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive attitude and a desire to learn and take on various tasks
