An industrial systems integration company is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to design electrical control systems, hardware / instrumentation selection, P&ID's, drafting, overseeing fabrication and onsite start up.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology or Controls Systems Engineering Technology.
- Professional Engineering license is desired but not required.
- 3-5 years of experience in application of PLC's & PC's for control, instrumentation, and data acquisition in or for manufacturing environment.
- Must be proficient in all common office software.
- Specify, design, implement, debug and document electrical controls and instrumentation for new PLC based, equipment, in compliance with company, national and international standards from NEC / NFPA / ANSI / NEMA.
- Design solutions to match code requirements and customer specifications.
- The candidate must know how to write and interpret technical specifications, have experience in project planning, design of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, and excellent interpersonal skills.
- The candidate will have the opportunity to applying technologies that include power distribution, HMI, variable frequency drives, manufacturing information systems, software and hardware development across various platforms (PLC's, PC, etc.).
- Will support system manufacturing by assisting with difficult troubleshooting problems on electrical control systems in house and at our customer's facilities.
- Taking direction from project managers and senior engineering staff, with strong team oriented work load sharing environment to complete projects.
- Select and size wire, cable, cable tray and conduit.
- Must be willing to travel to customers sites.
