Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations and ensure efficient management of all logistics processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in supply chain management, inventory control, and operations management. You will be responsible for optimizing warehouse processes, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Duties
- Manage daily warehouse operations, including shipping & receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
- Procure materials and coordinate with wholesale house vendors.
- Coordinate materials delivery to job sites.
- Manage a seventy vehicle fleet, ensuring all vehicles are registered, insured, and operating effectively.
- Coordinate regular vehicle and company-owned equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Manage and deliver company-owned and rented equipment to job sites.
- Manage inventory of specialty tools and tracking of tools as they are checked in and out of job sites.
- Organize and maintain the shop and yard.
- Ensure company-owned equipment and specialty tools adhere to safety standards.
- Conduct annual inventory of vehicles, equipment, and specialty tools.
- Continuously seek process improvements to increase efficiency and cut costs.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar role within warehouse distribution environments.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, including materials management, procurement, and logistics.
- Experience in demand planning, production planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in supply chain analytics for data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
- Knowledge of forklift operation is preferred but not required; willing to train the right candidate.
