Duties
- Provide knowledgeable assistance to customers in selecting bikes, accessories, and gear that meet their needs and riding styles
- Perform comprehensive bike repairs and maintenance, including brake adjustments, suspension tuning, wheel truing, and drivetrain servicing
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to assemble new bikes and repair existing ones efficiently
- Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire replacements, brake repairs, gear adjustments, and suspension servicing
- Manage inventory levels of parts, tools, and accessories to ensure availability for repairs and sales
- Educate customers on proper bike care, maintenance routines, and safety practices to enhance their riding experience
- Handle retail sales transactions accurately while applying retail math principles to ensure proper pricing and stock management
Skills
- Proven experience as a service technician with mechanical knowledge of bicycles or similar vehicles
- Strong understanding of suspension systems, brake repair, assembly processes, and general vehicle maintenance
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialized cycling equipment for repairs and assembly
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and enthusiastically
- Ability to lift heavy bikes or parts safely during repairs or stock handling
- Retail sales experience combined with retail math skills for transaction accuracy and inventory control
- Passion for cycling with a good understanding of different bike types, components, and maintenance needs
