Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Pipeline Estimator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for pipeline projects, ensuring alignment with project specifications, budgets, and timelines. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction projects, utilizing your expertise in construction estimating and project management to support successful project execution.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed pipeline cost estimates by analyzing project drawings, specifications, and bid documents using tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project scope and requirements.
- Prepare and review bid proposals, including pricing strategies, labor costs, material costs, and subcontractor quotes.
- Conduct negotiations with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
- Monitor project budgets throughout the bidding process and during construction to ensure cost control.
- Assist in contract review and management, ensuring all estimates align with contractual obligations.
- Support project management teams with accurate forecasting and cost tracking during construction phases.
- Stay updated on industry trends, construction methods, and regulations affecting pipeline projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating, preferably within pipeline or heavy civil projects.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating or project management software.
- Strong knowledge of construction site processes, contracts, and project management principles.
- Excellent negotiation skills with vendors and subcontractors.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications related to pipeline construction.
- Experience with cost control measures and pricing strategies in a construction environment.
- Construction site experience is highly desirable to understand field conditions impacting estimates.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred but not required.

Pay: $70,317.30 - $150,000.00 per year
