Overview
Eldorado, is seeking a Buyer to manage vendor relationships, negotiate terms, and drive product selection and pricing strategies that support customer needs and company goals.
Key Responsibilities
Buying & Vendor Relations
- Negotiate pricing, discounts, payment and shipping terms, damage allowances, exclusivity, and other contract details.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and purchasing teams to assess customer needs, evaluate new products, and align on initiatives.
- Recommend markups, markdowns, customer discounts, and wholesale pricing in line with company financial goals.
- Build strong supplier relationships to secure priority access to new products, early deliveries, and business updates.
- Attend trade shows as assigned, which might include occasional nights and weekends.
- Strategically place seasonal or promotional buys.
Administrative & Compliance
- Resolve shipment discrepancies and mis-shipments, coordinating returns, discounts, or adjustments.
- Partner with receiving, stock control, and accounting on inventory or pricing issues.
- Enter and maintain product and order data within company software platforms.
- Plan and execute promotions such as monthly sales or liquidation events.
- Ensure all supplier products meet regulatory requirements (e.g., Prop 65, 510(k)) and vendors maintain product liability insurance.
- Assist with catalog creation and vendor visits to educate sales and marketing teams.

- Experience with ERP systems (SAP Business One is preferred but not required).
Reports To: Purchasing Director
Employment Type: Full Time – On Site
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00–4:30
Compensation: $57,000–$63,000, Depending On Experience
