Eldorado Rehabilitation & Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as an Infection Preventionist. This leadership role is ideal for a detail-oriented nurse who is passionate about resident safety, infection prevention, staff education, and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.

Compensation

Registered Nurse (RN)

• $33.00–$35.00/hour based on years of experience
• Additional $0.75/hour while working on-call

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

• $29.00–$31.00/hour based on years of experience
• Additional $0.75/hour while working on-call

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee the facility's Infection Prevention and Control Program.
• Conduct infection surveillance and track trends throughout the facility.
• Ensure compliance with CDC, CMS, IDPH, and other applicable regulations.
• Educate and train staff on infection prevention practices and protocols.
• Monitor antibiotic stewardship initiatives.
• Conduct audits and implement quality improvement measures.
• Investigate and respond to infection-related concerns and outbreaks.
• Collaborate with department managers, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to promote resident safety.
• Maintain accurate documentation and prepare reports for regulatory agencies as needed.
• Participate in the facility's on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois RN or LPN license in good standing.
• Previous long-term care experience preferred.
• Infection Prevention experience preferred (training may be provided for the right candidate).
• Strong knowledge of infection control practices and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to educate staff and work collaboratively with all departments.
• Must possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
