Eldorado Rehabilitation & Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as an Infection Preventionist. Compensation
Registered Nurse (RN)
- $33.00–$35.00/hour based on years of experience
- Additional $0.75/hour while working on-call
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- $29.00–$31.00/hour based on years of experience
- Additional $0.75/hour while working on-call
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee the facility's Infection Prevention and Control Program.
- Conduct infection surveillance and track trends throughout the facility.
- Ensure compliance with CDC, CMS, IDPH, and other applicable regulations.
- Educate and train staff on infection prevention practices and protocols.
- Monitor antibiotic stewardship initiatives.
- Conduct audits and implement quality improvement measures.
- Investigate and respond to infection-related concerns and outbreaks.
- Collaborate with department managers, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to promote resident safety.
- Maintain accurate documentation and prepare reports for regulatory agencies as needed.
- Participate in the facility's on-call rotation.
Qualifications
- Current Illinois RN or LPN license in good standing.
- Previous long-term care experience preferred.
- Infection Prevention experience preferred (training may be provided for the right candidate).
- Strong knowledge of infection control practices and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to educate staff and work collaboratively with all departments.
- Must possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
