What You’ll Do
- Wash and properly sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils and kitchen equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout dishwashing and kitchen areas
- Keep cooks and service teams stocked with clean dishes and equipment
- Remove trash and maintain designated waste and recycling areas
- Clean floors, work surfaces and kitchen equipment as assigned
- Properly use and store cleaning chemicals according to safety standards
- Assist with basic kitchen cleaning and closing duties
- Follow all sanitation, food safety and workplace safety procedures
- Support the kitchen team wherever needed during busy service periods
- Help maintain a clean, safe and efficient work environment
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by your direct supervisor, Executive Chef/Owner
Requirements
- Dependable and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Ability to follow directions and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically active work
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
- Previous restaurant or stewarding experience preferred, but not required
