Join our farm café team by creating artisan pizzas (easy premade dough) and fresh food in a fun, fast-paced setting. We’re seeking an enthusiastic, dependable Pizza Prep Specialist / Café Cook to help craft high-quality pizzas that delight our guests and light baking for café goods during slower periods.
Two available positions ; we're open Weds-Sun and pizza service is from 11:30-8 p.m.
This role includes preparing fresh ingredients, assembling and baking pizzas, supporting food prep for the cafe, and helping maintain a clean, efficient kitchen focused on exceptional quality and hospitality.
Duties
- Prepare pizza ingredients such as pre-made dough, sauces, cheeses, vegetables, and meats with precision and care
- Assemble and bake pizzas according to established recipes and quality standards
- Operate and monitor pizza oven equipment for consistency and quality
- Assist with prep or baking of other café items (muffins, scones, cookies, lemon squares, or coffee cake) during downtime
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitcheb to ensure a safe and efficient workspace
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Support light kitchen prep, service flow, and occasional menu production as needed
- Ensure all food products are stored properly and rotated according to safety guidelines
Qualifications
- ServSafe certified (or willing to obtain Food Handler's certification - we'll pay for your online class)
- Previous food service, kitchen, restaurant, café, or catering experience preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, kitchen safety, and sanitation practices
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality food
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while staying organized
- Comfortable multitasking between pizza production, prep work, and light baking support
- Positive attitude, reliability, and strong teamwork skills
- Experience with pizza, baking, or artisan food preparation is a plus
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
