We are currently looking to fill the position of:
- Dispatch Specialist - Part Time (Customer Service)
- Start Time Flexible - between 4pm & 6pm (Average 4-5 hrs per day)
The Dispatch Specialist team member will provide a higher level of customer support by interacting with dispatchers and drivers to address the needs of our customers freight needs.
The Dispatch Specialist duties to include:
- Interacts with drivers and dispatchers and via telephone, email, online chat, or in person to provide support and information on freight movements.
- Reconcile driver delivery manifests daily.
- Copy, scan and distribute information to correct departments for billing and/or, scheduling, as needed.
- Maintains customer accounts and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments.
- Assists with dispatch as needed which could include routing, scheduling drivers for pick-up and delivery; equipment availability; assigning drivers trucks.
Required Skills/Abilities of Dispatch Specialist:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.
- Knowledge of, or ability to learn, freight movement industry.
- Proficient with or able to quickly learn dispatch and recordkeeping systems.
- Ability to work at a fast pace and under pressure.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 years of experience with freight movement - Highly Desired
- 1 years of customer service experience - Required
