Truck Driver – CDL Driver(Class A)

Position Summary

Elder Corporation is seeking full-time Truck Drivers to operate side dump, pup trailer, and end dump equipment. This position requires a Class A CDL and a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork. Drivers will transport materials to and from job sites and quarries, primarily within a 70-mile radius of Des Moines, allowing most employees to return home daily.

Truck driving positions are classified as safety-sensitive, and all applicable DOT and FMCSA regulations must be followed.

 Key Responsibilities

• Operate side dump, pup trailer, and end dump trucks safely and efficiently
• Perform DOT inspections prior to each shift
• Comply with all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Report any safety concerns or mechanical issues to management promptly
• Follow directions to navigate between job sites and quarries
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation as required

 Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with Air Brake Endorsement
• Verifiable driving record
• Dependable with a strong work ethic and punctuality
• Ability to work extended hours during peak season
• Minimum of three (3) years of driving experience preferred

 Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Comfortable working around heavy equipment and machinery
• Ability to bend, kneel, climb, and stand for extended periods
