*PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT
*Elder Construction is seeking a PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT for our retail construction
division. Qualified applicants must possess a command of commercial blue prints, and will
have experience with all phases of construction. Candidates must also possess strong
knowledge of commercial bidding procedures. The best candidate will be proficient with
email, scheduling software programs, and various forms of electronic communications. The
Superintendent will work directly for the President of the company, and will support the
sales and estimating departments. *
Qualifications:
- At least five years of project management, construction management, or related experience.
- Computer skills, including experience with email and file storage.
- Familiarity with Commercial and Municipal Building Codes.
- Excellent verbal and organizational skills;
- Ability to multi-task, and to meet critical project deadlines
- Have valid drivers license, cell phone, and tools.
Responsibilities:
- Start project on time. Finish projects on time.
- Manage a project schedule.
- Overnight travel.
- Supervise each of the trades to realize completion of the project.
- Identify gaps in the blueprints and report to sales &
- Resolve any on-the-job field issues;
- Interview, assign, negotiate, supervise, and assist sub-contractors.
