JOB DESCRIPTIONHourly Homemaker/Companions wanted. This position will provide care in homes, apartments, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, etc. as assigned. Available Day Shifts are for 3 hours (or more) weekdays and/or weekends.CNA Certification preferred, but not required.The Caregiver assists with personal care activities: bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, hair/skin care and feeding.Assists with medication management by reminding client to take medications as needed.Assists the client with exercises, ambulation and transfer activities.Performs household services essential to a clean, safe and healthy environment, including meal preparation, laundry and housekeeping to ensure that the client is receiving sanitary and safe care at home.Assists client by driving them to physicians, dentist, clinic or other appointments.Will accompany client on walks and to social functions.Observes any changes in the clients' abilities and/or needs for safety issues and notifies the Agency as appropriate.Documentation of care/activities provided will be submitted bi-weekly as per Agency Policy.Benefits401kFlexible schedulingEffective 01/01/25, Paid Sick Leave accrued and paid per the CT Sick Leave Law.RequirementsPass background checkDriver's licenseHigh school diploma/GEDMinimum of 3 years dementia elder care experience.Must have driver's license and car with proof of insuranceMust be willing to travel to any client homes within our service area (30 miles or less)
