Job Summary
Elder Care Homecare are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate caregivers to join our team in various capacities, including Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), Home Health Aides (HHA), Personal Care Assistants (PCA), and Home Care Aides (HOM). The ideal candidates will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals in need, including seniors and those with developmental disabilities. As a caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalized support and assistance.
Duties
- Provide compassionate and respectful personal care to clients, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients' health conditions, reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, utilizing equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations while ensuring confidentiality of client information.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Support clients with memory care, including those experiencing Alzheimer's or dementia, by engaging them in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment that encourages independence and dignity.
- Uphold high standards of hygiene and safety within the home environment, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience in caregiving roles such as CNA, HHA, PCA, or HOM is essential; familiarity with long-term care settings is preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in hospice care settings is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals are necessary for success in this role.
- Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and understanding while providing care to diverse populations including seniors and children.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and maintain current certifications related to caregiving practices.
