What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist - Body Shop position at ELCO Chevrolet Cadillac?
ELCO Chevrolet Cadillac has an immediate opening for a full time Body Shop Receptionist. The Body Shop Receptionist will meet and greet customers to the Collision Center, answer and route incoming calls, assist with miscellaneous administrative roles, and perform additional Body Shop clerical functions as assigned. We have an excellent team of motivated employees working at our dealership each day, and we're looking for the right person to be a part of that team!
- Answers phones and greets customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Opens and closes Body Shop repair orders.
- Receives cash, checks and credit card payments from customers; records amount received.
- Enters timekeeping hours for the technicians and forwards to payroll.
- Issues Body Shop purchase orders.
- Works the accounts receivable list and aggressively tracks past-due bills.
- Handles customer complaints with integrity and poise and, when necessary, refers dissatisfied customers to the appropriate individuals for resolution.
- Assists other departments with telephone coverage.
- Provides clerical assistance to other departments.
- Maintains a professional appearance.
- Keeps work area neat and clean.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be willing to take a preemployment drug screening test.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
- Demonstrated superior customer service skills.
- Ability to multi-task and handle several phone calls at once.
- Ability to learn additional Body Shop administrative functions- open/close ROs, tech timekeeping, etc.
- Must be able to work Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.
- Must have at least 1 year of recent administrative clerical experience in a customer service environment.
- Dealership and/or Body Shop experience a plus.
