Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized, tech-savvy Event Coordinator to plan, manage, and execute park events and facility rentals. The ideal candidate has advanced office computer skills, excellent communication, and experience in Microsoft Excel, website management, and content maintenance. This is a full-time position reporting directly to the Park Board.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute park events, rentals, and community programs.
- Manage event logistics, setup, teardown, and on-site support.
- Maintain calendars, contracts, budgets, and reports with advanced Excel skills.
- Update and maintain the park website, ensuring accurate content and user-friendly design.
- Serve as primary contact for clients, vendors, and community groups.
- Recruit, schedule, and guide volunteers or event staff.
- Assist with marketing, social media, and community outreach for events.
Qualifications:
- Advanced office computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, and web-based tools.
- Experience with website design, content updates, and basic maintenance.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and assist with physical setup.
Preferred:
- Experience in event planning, recreation management, or nonprofit operations.
- Familiarity with web platforms (WordPress, Wix, Squarespace) or HTML/CSS.
- Experience supervising staff or volunteers.
Work Environment:
Combination of office work and on-site event coordination; may involve outdoor work and variable weather.
