Job Summary
Plan, coordinate, review, and improve manufacturing processes for the Post Exhaust Processing and Test production areas to assure efficient manufacturing operations, applying technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
Responsibilities And Tasks
- Develop, review, improve manufacturing processes to assure efficient manufacturing operations in order to improve cost/yield/productivity and reduce waste/scrap/downtime
- Use data analytics techniques to identify areas of concern or areas for improvement
- Evaluate product quality using stereo microscopes or other test equipment to verify operator workmanship or determine root cause of process/yield issues
- Diagnose process and equipment issues and work with maintenance teams to keep equipment running optimally
- Analyze, optimize, or develop as necessary, visual and test equipment/methods for evaluation of electro-optical devices
- Interface with external customers regarding testing methodology
- Work with and train bargaining unit employees to improve work processes and product quality
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering field, preferably electrical or computer science
- 2 years relevant experience in manufacturing engineering or equivalent
- Strong analytical abilities and trouble-shooting techniques
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Capable of performing self-directed work but also the ability to work effectively within a team
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to obtain DoD Security Clearance
- Experience developing electrical test methods
- Experience with Visual Studio programming languages (C, C , C#, VB, Python)
