Job Summary:
Nurse II is responsible for providing health services and administering various human resource programs to the organization’s employees on company premises. This position performs basic medical care functions and various medical screening examinations as well as provides general business support to employees as needed. Performs work under general supervision. Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter. May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to employees with less experience.

Job Summary:
Nurse II is responsible for providing health services and administering various human resource programs to the organization’s employees on company premises. This position performs basic medical care functions and various medical screening examinations as well as provides general business support to employees as needed. Performs work under general supervision. Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter. May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to employees with less experience.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Performs basic medical care functions and various medical screening examinations such as vision screening, emergency care, and referral
- Assesses patient condition, determines need for medical intervention, and arranges for transportation or follow-up care as needed.
- Maintains an inventory of medicines and safety equipment.
- Maintains medical records for patients seen and documents services rendered and ensures confidentiality of this data; submits reports to applicable regulatory bodies or internal departments.
- Provides health education and illness prevention services to employees.
- Consults with and advises management on worker's compensation, disability and/or medical insurance claims; may represent the company's interest at hearings related to such claims.
- May process pre-employment physicals and drug testing in accordance with company policy.
- Assesses factors at workplace, if any, causing sickness and implements and administers healthcare programs that enhance employees’ wellness through disease and accident prevention
- Provides support to the HR function as needed
- Requires a bachelor's degree in Nursing
- RN licensure
- 2 to 4 years of similar relevant experience.
- Thorough knowledge of Family Medical Leave Act and its implementation is required
- Knowledge of OSHA and other occupational health regulations
- Familiarity with workplace injury/illness case management, workers’ compensation, and disability management
- Skill in conducting health education, wellness, and preventive care programs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with employees, management, and external providers
- Proficiency with medical recordkeeping systems and confidentiality standards
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods.
- Use of hands for repetitive tasks and performing fine motor skills
- Gross manipulation skills like seizing, holding, grasping, and turning are required, in addition to the dexterity needed for fine tasks.
- This position is not eligible for hybrid or remote work.
