Job Summary:
The Principal Network Operations Center Specialist is responsible for the strategic establishment and leadership of Elbit America’s Network Operations Center (NOC), ensuring the delivery of robust network, cloud, infrastructure, server, and application monitoring services. This position provides advanced technical oversight and operational leadership, ensuring all monitoring activities meet established service levels and organizational objectives. The Principal Network Operations Center Specialist develops and implements best-in-class incident management protocols, drives process enhancements, and ensures timely resolution and escalation of complex technical issues. This role acts as a key liaison between the NOC and IT leadership, collaborating on cross-functional initiatives, mentoring team members, and championing continuous improvement in monitoring, alerting, and incident response practices to support business resilience and operational excellence.

Job Summary:

This role acts as a key liaison between the NOC and IT leadership, collaborating on cross-functional initiatives, mentoring team members, and championing continuous improvement in monitoring, alerting, and incident response practices to support business resilience and operational excellence.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Advise on the best strategy to meet 24x7 coverage, team makeup, including out-sourcing decisions, shift handoffs and on-call rotations
- Conduct regular performance check-ins and training to improve skills and efficiency
- Oversee real-time monitoring of network devices, servers, applications, and cloud services
- Help create standard operating procedures, establishing SLAs
- Ensure alerts are triaged, escalated, and resolved by defined SLAs
- Serve as the first point of escalation for critical incidents
- Problem Management
- CAB Support
- Coordinate with network engineers, sysadmins, and vendors for rapid incident resolution
- Ensure incident documentation and post-mortem reporting is completed
- Maintain and refine runbooks, SOPs, and escalation workflows
- Track NOC performance metrics (SLAs including MTTR, alert volume, uptime) and report to IT leadership
- Drive process improvements to reduce false alarms and increase first-contact resolution
- Administer and optimize NOC monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, LogicMonitor)
- Develop expert familiarity with Elbit’s Infrastructure, network diagrams, documentation, and asset inventory
- Recommend improvements to alerting thresholds and automation scripts
- Advanced knowledge of network, server, cloud, and critical infrastructure monitoring tools and technologies (e.g., SolarWinds, Splunk, Nagios, AWS/Azure monitoring)
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, cybersecurity principles, and ITIL incident management frameworks
- Experience implementing and optimizing monitoring and alerting systems
- Familiarity with automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for process improvement is a plus
- Familiarity with network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, firewalls, switches, routers
- Proficiency in network monitoring and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, or similar)
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 7 years of progressive experience in network operations, IT infrastructure, or related technical roles
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership or advanced technical lead capacity within a Network Operations Center or similar environment
- Proven track record of managing complex IT monitoring and incident response processes
- Most locations offer a 9/80 schedule providing every other Friday off
