Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. This role involves providing behavioral therapy and support to children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. Duties
- Implement individualized treatment plans based on behavioral health principles, including ABA techniques
- Collect and analyze data related to client behaviors to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
- Assist with intake assessments, patient evaluations, and diagnostic evaluations under supervision
- Support patients during therapy sessions, ensuring safety and engagement
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, records, and reports in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including special education professionals and healthcare providers
- Educate families and caregivers on behavioral strategies and intervention techniques
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols during patient interactions and data collection activities
Qualifications
- Experience with behavioral therapy, especially applied behavior analysis (ABA)
- Prior work with children or individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and patient assessment procedures
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards in healthcare settings
- Strong skills in data collection, documentation, and record keeping
- Compassionate approach to patient care with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with people with disabilities in a clinical or educational setting
- Background or training in special education or behavioral health is preferred
- Patience, adaptability, and a genuine desire to help clients improve their quality of life
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
