What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner position at Elangovan Psychiatric Services PLLC?
We are currently seeking a part-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to manage patients in a private practice setting. This role involves treating patients in-office as well as conducting telehealth visits for individuals in New York and New Jersey.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide variety of mental health conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and educate patients on diagnosis and treatment options.
- Prescribe medications.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
Qualifications:
- Currently hold a New York Nurse Practitioner license with ANCC or AANP board certification and preferably New Jersey or willingness to apply.
- A valid NPI number.
- Malpractice insurance.
- DEA/CDS registration (or eligibility to obtain).
