Your Role: Manufacturing Scientist/Quality Control Chemist Intern – Clinton, Indiana (Summer 2027)
As a Summer 2027 Manufacturing Scientist/Quality Control Intern with Elanco Animal Health, you will be part of the Quality Control Lab team at our Clinton, Indiana manufacturing plant, to deliver a practical solution to reducing analytical variability, a technical project, or implementation of new lab methods. Interns will have exposure to many career paths and diverse subject matter experts as many projects have site-wide impact.

Your Role: Manufacturing Scientist/Quality Control Chemist Intern – Clinton, Indiana (Summer 2027)
As a Summer 2027 Manufacturing Scientist/Quality Control Intern with Elanco Animal Health, you will be part of the Quality Control Lab team at our Clinton, Indiana manufacturing plant, to deliver a practical solution to reducing analytical variability, a technical project, or implementation of new lab methods. Interns will have exposure to many career paths and diverse subject matter experts as many projects have site-wide impact.
Your Responsibilities:
- Understand the manufacturing process, document using GMP guidelines, and understand the importance of the Quality Unit
- Work within cross-functional teams to implement process or Quality Control lab improvements
- Learn about quality control, fermentation, product recovery, product finishing, or packaging
- Study design improvement processes
- Education: Currently enrolled in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a similar major.
- Top Skills: Experience in Microsoft Suites and a willingness to learn
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Must be able to work exceptionally well independently and with minimal supervision
- Travel: 10% - to corporate facility in Indianapolis, IN for opening/closing
- Location: Clinton Manufacturing Plant, Clinton, IN

- Competitive Salary: $20-$40/hour (dependent upon major and year in school)
