SUMMARY: The Director of Admissions is directly responsible for the admissions process and reports directly to the Senior Director of Community Engagement with oversight from the Chief Operating Officer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Directly administers the admissions process of residents to the facility. Evaluating all applicants in conjunction with nursing services to ensure that the Jewish Home is fully prepared to meet their needs and that the applicant and his/her family is aware of the available services including their limits. Directly updates the Chief Operating Officer regarding prospective admissions to obtain final approval.
- Acts as a liaison for the facility to outside referral agencies.
- Assists the Senior Director of Community Engagement with facility marketing functions as directed including participation in health fairs.
- Conduct hospital outreach and case evaluation of prospective residents in hospitals and other settings including face-to-face meetings with prospective residents and their family members.
- Is a member of the Quality Assurance/ Process Improvement Committee. Completes QA/PI tasks and assignments as assigned.
- Maintains all records for CRM in conjunction with the nurse marketer.
- Is assigned to the administrator on duty weekend rotation.
- Is responsible for assuring rooms are prepared for admissions in a timely fashion.
- Attends monthly floor specific resident council meetings, records meeting minutes, and communicates minutes to assigned individuals. Is responsible for concern follow up and ensuring all concerns are addressed.
- Is responsible for coordination of PATH meetings.
- Attends interdepartmental meetings as assigned.
- Attends outreach meetings as assigned.
- Participates in community outreach speaking engagements as assigned.
- Serves as backup to the Nurse Marketer role in his/her absence.
