Overview:
Our client, a leading global financial services organization, is seeking a Project Manager to support a large-scale desktop and workplace technology deployment initiative. This is a contract opportunity through the end of the year, with strong potential for extension or redeployment onto additional projects based on performance.
Role Summary:
The Project Manager will lead planning, coordination, and execution of desktop and conference room deployments across business units. This role is highly operational, requiring strong logistics management, stakeholder communication, and oversight of field technicians to ensure successful weekly rollouts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end desktop and workplace technology deployment projects
- Oversee installation teams and ensure the successful execution of deployments
- Coordinate logistics, including equipment delivery, storage, and staging
- Partner directly with lines of business to communicate deployment schedules, expectations, and progress updates
- Lead weekly deployment cycles:
- Monday–Wednesday: Planning and coordination
- Thursday: Equipment delivery
- Friday: Preparation and staging
- Saturday–Sunday: Deployment execution
- Support rollout management on a rotating schedule every 3rd weekend (~16 additional hours)
- Ensure all deployments meet quality standards, timelines, and client expectations
- Track progress and resolve any issues impacting delivery
Scope of Work:
- Deployment of desktops, conference rooms, and huddle room setups
- Approximately 250 installations per week
Work Schedule:
- 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday onsite in Plano)
- Additional ~16 hours every 3rd weekend (rotation shared across PM team)
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience managing desktop deployment or large-scale IT rollout projects
- Strong background in logistics, coordination, and field team oversight
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and business units
- Ability to manage high-volume, fast-paced deployment environments
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
