The ideal candidate will have strong petroleum industry experience, hands-on knowledge of PDI and Axxis, advanced Excel skills, and experience with fuel pricing and market indices. This position works closely with accounting, transportation, operations, suppliers, and other internal teams to research and resolve day-to-day supply and pricing issues. This role can be remote, although candidates should be available to spend time onsite during onboarding and the training period as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in petroleum supply, fuel pricing, supply analysis, fuel procurement, petroleum accounting, or a closely related function.
  • Hands-on PDI experience is required.
  • Hands-on Axxis experience is required.
  • Strong understanding of petroleum/fuel pricing and pricing indices.
  • Experience working with petroleum market data and tools, including Argus and OPIS.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to build and maintain spreadsheets and analyze large amounts of pricing and transactional data.
  • Experience reconciling invoices, researching pricing discrepancies, and resolving data issues.
  • Experience maintaining petroleum pricing indices and applying tariff, pipeline, freight, or other pricing adjustments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively across accounting, transportation, supply, operations, and external suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily petroleum supply operations and serve as a key point of contact for supply-related issues across accounting, transportation, operations, and other internal teams.
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies by comparing supplier invoices, pricing, and transactional data against information maintained within internal systems.
  • Maintain fuel pricing and pricing indices within PDI and related petroleum systems.
  • Update pricing to reflect changes in market indices, tariffs, pipeline costs, differentials, and other supply-related adjustments.
  • Pull and analyze supply, pricing, inventory, and transactional data from PDI, Axxis, Argus, OPIS, and other petroleum industry platforms.
  • Build and maintain Excel spreadsheets used to analyze pricing, reconcile data, research discrepancies, and support daily supply activities.
  • Work directly with suppliers regarding pricing, supply questions, discrepancies, and smaller-volume purchasing needs.
  • Research and resolve issues involving supplier pricing, transportation costs, invoices, and system data.
  • Partner closely with accounting to ensure accurate supplier billing and reconciliation.
  • Coordinate with transportation and operations teams to address supply and delivery issues.
  • Support management with petroleum pricing and market information as needed.
  • Manage multiple priorities and time-sensitive issues in a fast-paced petroleum supply environment.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred but not required. Relevant petroleum supply, pricing, accounting, and systems experience will be strongly considered instead of a degree.
