We are seeking a dynamic, hard working and skilled Equipment Operator specializing in grading and excavation to join our construction team. Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of heavy equipment including skid steers, excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, and machinery to perform grading, excavation, and site preparation tasks.
- Conduct precise earthmoving activities such as digging trenches, leveling surfaces, and backfilling to meet project specifications.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment before and after use to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Follow all safety protocols and construction site procedures to maintain a secure work environment.
- Collaborate with project managers and crew members to execute tasks efficiently while adhering to project timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance needs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators, graders, dozers, loaders, backhoes, water trucks, dump trucks, and Caterpillar machinery.
- Mechanical knowledge sufficient to perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance on equipment.
- Valid commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety standards and procedures.
- Prior experience working on construction sites involving grading, excavation, paving, or utility installation is highly desirable.
