EL1 Sports, the proud youth baseball and softball training partner of Major League Baseball, is seeking an Assistant Instructor to join our Mobile team! In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering top-level instruction to youth athletes while collaborating with experienced instructors.
This is a seasonal position running from June through September, ideal for individuals seeking summer employment in a dynamic, fast-paced sports environment. There is potential for continued opportunities beyond the summer season based on performance, organizational needs, and availability.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist instructors in delivering skill-specific baseball and softball instruction in our facilities and at fields throughout the community.
- Help build positive relationships with athletes, families, and coaches.
- Assist with the preparation, setup, and breakdown of equipment for training programs and events.
- Collaborate with instructors to ensure age and ability-appropriate content is delivered in team, camp/clinic, and small group settings (you will not be conducting one-on-one lessons).
- Learn and utilize technologies to enhance instruction and athlete experience.
- Attend staff meetings, instructor meetings, and company events as needed.
- Travel to surrounding communities for programs may be required.
Requirements
- Experience playing and/or coaching baseball or softball (Minimum of High School experience preferred).
- Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructional plans and adapt them to meet the needs of various age groups and skill levels.
- Supportive and encouraging mindset with a passion for helping young athletes learn and grow.
- Eagerness to learn and collaborate with experienced instructors.
