Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and assist with food and beverage selections to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, ensuring clear communication with the kitchen and bar staff
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to maximize sales opportunities
- Process cash and card transactions efficiently, handling cash handling and cashiering responsibilities with integrity
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bussing tables and assisting in food preparation when needed
- Foster guest relations through attentive service, addressing questions about menu items like wine knowledge or cocktail options, and resolving any concerns promptly
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; familiarity with OpenTable is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor and the ability to handle multiple tables efficiently
- Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced setting
- Culinary experience or beverage expertise including spirits knowledge or cocktail experience is highly desirable
