Responsibilities
- Assist with supervising children during daily activities, playtime, meals, and nap times to ensure their safety and well-being
- Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and stimulating environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development in line with curriculum guidelines
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences to foster strong relationships
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures and mandated reporting laws for any concerns or incidents involving children
- Help with diapering, feeding, and providing basic infant care as needed for younger children in the center
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute developmental activities that support childhood development milestones
Skills
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings
- Knowledge of child development instruction and classroom management techniques
- Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, or related health safety training preferred
- Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Strong communication skills for engaging with parents and team members effectively
- Ability to handle behavior management strategies calmly and professionally
- Understanding of mandated reporting laws to ensure compliance with legal requirements for child safety
