Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a friendly, professional demeanor
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and attention to detail
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
• Upsell menu items by highlighting specials and recommending pairings to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Manage multiple tables effectively through excellent time management and organization skills
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations, including proper food handling and food preparation practices
• Assist with bussing tables, resetting stations, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth service flow
• Use reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage bookings smoothly and optimize seating arrangements
• Foster positive guest relations by providing attentive service, addressing concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere

Experience

• Previous restaurant or food service experience is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in order processing
• Strong knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques
• Experience with guest services roles such as host/hostess or serving enhances your ability to connect with guests effectively
• Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining quality standards
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and sales upselling strategies
• Culinary or kitchen experience is a plus for understanding food preparation processes but not mandatory
