Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, manage reservations using OpenTable or similar systems, and seat guests promptly.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing Toast POS, ensuring all special requests are noted.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
- Upsell menu items and beverages to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and assisting with food handling and preparation when needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and fostering positive guest relations.
- Support food safety protocols, including proper food handling, sanitation practices, and adherence to health regulations.
- Assist with cashiering duties, including cash handling and basic math calculations for bills.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders in a fine dining or nightclub environment.
- Engage with guests to promote a lively atmosphere, contributing to the overall guest experience.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle guest relations professionally.
- Excellent time management skills to balance multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cashiering and billing purposes.
- Experience in serving or host/host roles within the food industry is advantageous.
- Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity can enhance your ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Demonstrated ability in upselling menu items while maintaining genuine guest engagement.
