Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our dynamic finance team.

  • Candidate must be fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Candidate must have 5 years as a CPA to be considered for this position.
  • Candidates without an active WA CPA license will not be considered.

In this role, you will leverage your extensive accounting expertise to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and strategic financial analysis. Duties

  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct audits to assess internal controls, identify discrepancies, and ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) regulations.
  • Manage tax reporting processes, including individual, corporate, and estate tax filings, ensuring adherence to tax law and regulations.
  • Perform detailed account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger accounting to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Assist with tax planning strategies such as estate planning, wills, trusts & estate law, and corporate tax optimization.
  • Support mergers & acquisitions activities through financial analysis, due diligence, and integration of financial systems.
  • Utilize advanced accounting software like Quicken and other financial tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Provide clear financial report writing and interpretation to support executive decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards including LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), securities law, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial sales initiatives, asset management projects, and investment analysis.

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of accounting principles such as GAAP, double entry bookkeeping, technical accounting, and regulatory compliance accounting.
  • Strong expertise in tax law, tax compliance, tax reporting, tax experience including individual and corporate tax preparation.
  • Proficiency in accounting software like Quicken along with general financial software platforms for efficient data management.
  • Demonstrated experience in auditing procedures, SOX compliance, financial statement preparation, and analysis skills.
  • Deep understanding of securities law, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), private equity investments, and asset management strategies.
  • Excellent client communication skills for advising on estate planning matters such as wills & trusts or complex tax issues.
  • Ability to interpret complex financial concepts related to budgeting, financial planning, investment analysis, and asset management.
  • Strong analytical skills for account reconciliation, account analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, and financial report interpretation.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks including LIHTC programs and securities law to ensure full compliance across all reporting activities.
