What are the responsibilities and job description for the Eyewear Sales Associate / Optician position at El Portal Optometry?
We are a friendly and busy optometry office looking for someone to join our office. You will be apart of a team dedicated in making a positive change in the lives of our patients. From correcting blurry vision to alleviating headaches or dry eyes, our mission is to make our patient's eyes happy so that they can live happy lives. "Happy eye for happy lives"

General Responsibilities
- Checking in patients
- Answering phone calls
- Scheduling appointments
- Verifying insurance
- Perform preliminary testing on patients
- Assisting patients purchasing eyeglasses and contact lenses
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma
- Previous experience in a medical or optometry setting is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well with a variety of people and other team members
- Proficient at multitasking in a busy office setting
- Knowledge with vision insurance plans
Position is Full-Time or Part-Time and must include Saturdays.
Full-Time position includes benefits: health, dental, vision, 401k retirement with matching contributions, paid holidays and paid vacation time.
Compensation will depend on experience.
