Job Family Summary Purpose
Under the general supervision of the Principal Engineer of Power Generation Asset Management (Asset Mgmt), the intern works directly with Asset Mgmt Engineers to support the department's responsibilities and initiatives.
Education
Enrolled as a full-time student in a recognized college or university, majoring in Engineering, Power Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical/engineering/scientific field.

- Enrolled as a full-time undergraduate college student (12 hours or more) or a full-time graduate college student (9 hours or more) in a 4-year college/university.
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in some Engineering discipline.
- Maintain full-time undergraduate or graduate enrollment throughout the duration of the internship.
- Classified as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student.
- Maintain an overall GPA at a minimum of 3.0 or above.
- Ability to operate a personal computer and software such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with officers, managers, fellow employees, and the general public.
- Ability to lead, coordinate, plan projects, adhere to project deadlines, and oversee all project tasks.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with officers, managers, fellow employees, and the public.
- Ability to maintain a strong sense of propriety concerning confidential matters.
- Ability to request and review proposals for goods and services and prepare statements of work.
- Assist Asset Mgmt. Engineers in various reliability, engineering, software, and data collection/cleansing initiatives.
- Support construction management activities to include traveling to Power Generation facilities to inspect construction activities, review and process pay applications, invoices, requests for information, and assist with construction work coordination.
- Attend meetings with Asset Mgmt. Engineers and prepare agendas and meeting minutes.
- Comply with all applicable Company policies, procedures, and code of ethics as well as all applicable governmental laws and regulations, including employment, safety, and environmental standards and regulations.
- Perform other related tasks not explicitly included but within the scope of the defined duties.
