Hiring Range: $158,000.00 - $165,000.00 annually
This position has an anticipated work schedule of Monday – Friday, with flexible hours between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Schedule is subject to change.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Provides strategic leadership and direction for enterprise infrastructure services, including network, systems, and data center operations; establishes and executes long-term strategies and roadmaps aligned with organizational goals, including coordination with facilities and/or third-party providers to ensure data center environmental reliability (power, cooling, space, and physical security).
- Directs and manages multiple functional teams responsible for infrastructure engineering, systems administration, and network services.
- Oversees the design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of highly available, scalable infrastructure environments, including hybrid and cloud-based systems with accountability for defining, measuring, and continuously improving service availability through established service level objectives (SLOs) and uptime targets.
- Oversees enterprise backup and recovery strategy, including data protection standards, retention policies, regular backup validation and testing, and alignment with defined recovery objectives (RPO/RTO).
- Develops and implements operational policies, standards, and procedures to ensure effective, efficient, and reliable service delivery.
- Ensures infrastructure systems are implemented and maintained in alignment with established enterprise security standards; collaborates with designated security personnel on risk mitigation, vulnerability remediation, and implementation of security controls, and ensures compliance with applicable regulatory and audit requirements (e.g., CJIS), including supporting assessments, documentation, and control validation.
- Supports security incident response and recovery efforts by coordinating infrastructure-related activities with appropriate stakeholders.
- Leads and manages complex infrastructure projects and initiatives, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and execution.
- Oversees system performance, monitoring, capacity planning, and lifecycle management of infrastructure assets including capacity management practices such as demand forecasting, resource utilization analysis, and alignment of infrastructure growth with business needs and budget constraints.
- Oversees infrastructure change management processes, including risk assessment, change approval governance, and participation in our leadership of Change Advisory Board (CAB) activities to ensure controlled and reliable production changes.
- Directs disaster recovery and business continuity planning for infrastructure systems and services.
- Prepares and delivers reporting and analysis to support executive decision-making related to infrastructure performance, risks, and investments.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to assess operational needs and translate them into scalable, reliable technical solutions.
- Manages vendor relationships, contracts, and service-level agreements to ensure effective service delivery.
- Oversees incident and problem management processes to ensure timely resolution and continuous service improvement, including leading or designating leadership for major incident response, coordinating stakeholder communication, and ensuring completion of post-incident reviews and corrective actions.
- Evaluates and implements emerging technologies to enhance operational efficiency, reliability, and service delivery.
- Establishes performance expectations, sets clear goals, and regularly assesses team members’ competencies through structured feedback, individual development plans, and performance evaluations. Motivates employees to reach peak productivity and performance; participates in the hiring and disciplinary process.

- Thorough knowledge of enterprise infrastructure technologies, including networking, systems, virtualization, and cloud platforms.
- Thorough knowledge of infrastructure security principles and the implementation of security controls within systems and network environments.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure architecture, design principles, and operational best practices.
- Strong project and program management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
- Ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary technical teams across multiple functional areas.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic plans and align technical solutions with organizational objectives.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and complex environment.
- Ability to maintain the security of sensitive and confidential information.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executive leadership, with strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to business leaders.

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
- Four years of related professional experience may substitute for the required degree.
- Five years of experience in network infrastructure design and implementation, including lifecycle management.
- Three years of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Experience supporting data center systems in a large, complex environment, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and network security practices.
- Project management experience or training.
- ServiceNow or other IT Service Management tool experience.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Must obtain and maintain Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) Compliance within six months of employment based on regular access to the Sheriff's Office buildings, systems, and/or networks.
- ITIL v4 Foundations Certification strongly preferred.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification strongly preferred.
- CISCO advanced certification(s) preferred.
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification preferred.
- Must pass conditional post offer background investigation, drug screen, and motor vehicle record check.
