Services provided through diverse prevention/intervention projects include engagement, macro-level assessment, groupwork, classes/workshops and trainings. TIC Specialist may also provide services to professionals and behavioral health service systems.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The work schedule is Standard from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Weekends as needed.

Job Summary
The TIC (Trauma Informed Care) Specialist provides trauma-informed group and organizational-level mental health services on-site at Center and in community-based settings. Services provided through diverse prevention/intervention projects include engagement, macro-level assessment, groupwork, classes/workshops and trainings. TIC Specialist may also provide services to professionals and behavioral health service systems.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Participate TIC-related project activities within the Personalized Integrative (PI) Team on selected grants and contracts, as assigned, and during their project term.
- Obtain certification in identified trauma-informed, evidence-based modalities and provide training on behalf of the Center.
- Facilitate psychoeducational and support groups, inclusive of complementary, mind-body based groups, parenting groups, support groups for special populations, and professional resiliency groups.
- Develop proficiency in mental health and trauma-informed training from Center e-library and provide community-based, virtual, and public-facing trainings.
- Provide training services on Center grants and contracts (i.e., project-specific) according to the needs, parameters, and requirements of the project during its period of implementation.
- Perform basic administrative, service, and project-related tasks related to documentation, reporting, and tracking.
- Maintain direct service and administrative records according to policies, procedures, and contract requirements.
- Participate in continuing education to develop and refine practice knowledge and skills.
- Demonstrate and apply knowledge of trauma-informed theories, practices, and principles by engaging in TIC-related training, self-directed learning, and professional development opportunities.
- Perform community and/or outreach presentations to promote TIC efforts.
- Assist with all evaluation efforts specific to PI team, as assigned. Specific tasks may include recording data, entering and/or transferring data, preparing copies and/or electronic formats of survey instruments.
- Engage in research endeavors related to evidence-based and evidence-informed modalities. Demonstrate ability to read, understand, synthesize, and report on relevant content and findings.
- Maintain documentation of Center's status as Continuing Education Units (CEU) provider for Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Social Worker (LSW).
- Required/Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in or related field required; master's degree preferred.
- At least three years of experience in a related field and nonprofit sector.
The work schedule is Standard from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Weekends as needed.
