Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols are followed at all times
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and resetting tables for new guests
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and wine pairings to assist guests effectively
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing inquiries or concerns professionally
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced setting
- Effective upselling techniques to promote menu items and specials
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed in a hospitality setting
