Front of House Team Member – Counter Service Taco Bar Overview
Join our team as a Bartender / Front of House Team Member at our fast-casual taco restaurant and bar. This role is focused on counter service and bar ordering, with guests picking up food directly from the expo counter.
Front of House team members are the first point of contact for our guests and play a key role in keeping service organized, accurate, and efficient. Ideal candidates are dependable, guest-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Previous food service or hospitality experience is preferred but not required; we value professionalism, communication skills, and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and guide them through the ordering process
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using Toast POS system
- Process payments, handle cash, and complete transactions accurately
- Prepare and serve beverages including beer, cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks (as applicable)
- Coordinate with the expo window to ensure smooth and accurate order handoff
- Call out orders clearly and assist guests at pickup
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter, bar, and dining areas
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service guidelines
- Assist with restocking, side work, and operational support as needed
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, fast casual, quick service, café, or bar environments preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work efficiently during peak hours
- Comfortable working nights and weekends
