Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to optimize flow and guest satisfaction
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring prompt service
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments through POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
- Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables promptly and assisting with food preparation or kitchen support when needed
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently followed to uphold health regulations
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and fostering positive guest relations
- Support the restaurant team during busy hours by assisting with food handling, basic math calculations for bills, and managing guest needs
Experience
- Previous restaurant experience in food service or hospitality environments is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively in a fast-paced setting
- Experience in fine dining or nightclub environments is advantageous but not required
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and sales upselling techniques
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent communication skills paired with a friendly demeanor to foster guest satisfaction
