What are the responsibilities and job description for the Perioperative Nurse Leader position at El Dorado Surgery Center?
Position Summary:
Experienced perioperative RN leader responsible for managing daily operations within an ambulatory surgery center setting, including staff oversight, surgical scheduling coordination, regulatory compliance, and patient safety. Leads multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient workflows, exceptional patient care and a positive surgical experience in the outpatient environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee perioperative personnel to ensure safe and effective patient-centered care
- Assists perioperative personnel in evaluating practice and creating strategies for further improvement
- Provides educational resources for personnel and holds staff accountable for compliance with standards
- Makes daily assignments for perioperative personnel
- Monitors time and attendance and ensures staff have appropriate breaks and lunches
- Verifies compliance with organizational policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation standards
- Acts as a patient advocate and maintains privacy and confidentiality at all times
- Reports to Facility Administrator and company leadership at designated intervals all related operations information
- Ensures all state, federal and local regulations are maintained
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in nursing or equivalent discipline
- Current California Nursing license required
- 5 years direct operating room experience preferred
- 2 years leadership experience in an operating room or equivalent environment preferred
- BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required
