Purpose Statement/s: Under the direction of the Indian Education Resource Coordinator, the job of Indian Education Liaison is designed to assist all referred Native American students in Amador and El Dorado Counties by assuring student access to all available school, district or county-wide academic services for which they qualify; assisting and empowering parents or guardians of referred Native American students to participate within the academic system and be knowledgeable of the rights and responsibilities therein. Experience Required: Prior job or education-related experience. Knowledge of: Proper English usage; education code, state, county and district policies; Native American culture and cultural values.
