Current opening is at the following location: Placerville Main (Located on the Schnell School Campus) The El Dorado County Office of Education accepts applications for Classroom Assistant II with our Child Development Program on a year-round basis, with no application deadline. This posting will be used to create an eligibility list. This list will be used for current and future openings. Purpose Statement: Under the direction of the Head Start teacher, demonstrates and applies fundamental knowledge of child development to facilitate daily activities and experiences for children that support school readiness following federal, state and COE guidelines. English/Spanish bilingual skills required. Position includes a 5% bilingual pay differential.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma and Associate Teacher Permit or Associate of Arts degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education or related field. Must meet Title 22 licensing standards. Experience: Previous successful experience in Early Care and Education Programs within the last three years preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required. A copy of your transcript must be submitted with the application for verification of ECE units.
