Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of senior management, provides administrative assistance by performing complex, technical, and confidential secretarial and administrative duties in a multi-functional department. The Administrative Assistant class is distinguished by working under the direction of the Superintendent, a Deputy or Associate Superintendent, a senior management Executive Director, or designee. Positions in this class may supervise and evaluate other clerical/secretarial classifications. Positions assigned to the Superintendent’s Office are distinguished by Section (b) of Ed. Code Section 45272 "Any person employed in an exempt executive secretarial position shall continue to be afforded all of the rights, benefits, and burdens of any other classified employee serving in the regular service of the district, except he/she shall not attain permanent status in an executive secretarial position.”
Requirements / Qualifications

Work in an educational setting is preferred. Two years of education in office management or a related field may be substituted for two years of experience. Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
