Classification: Full-Time/ Part-Time
Reports to: Server Supervisor
Job Description:
The Busser/Server Assistant is responsible for supporting the front-of-house team by keeping tables and areas clean, tidy, and organized.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provides courteous and pleasant service to our customers in a clean and positive environment.
- Works collaboratively with the kitchen to ensure efficient service.
- Greets all customers within a visible area.
- Communicates clearly and effectively with customers and team members.
- Cleans tables and removes dishes and utensils when the service is finished.
- Takes all dirty dishes and utensils to the dishwashing area in the kitchen.
- Complies with health, safety, and cleanliness standards.
- Ensures clean and available dishes and utensils.
- Assists in restocking and maintaining inventory when necessary.
- Assists with dish and utensil cleaning.
- Complies with established sanitation, personal hygiene, and health standards. Ensures that tables and areas of the front-of-house restaurant are clean at all times.
- Adheres to all company standards, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Performs other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Preferably experience in high-volume and full-service restaurants.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
- Ability to navigate all parts of the restaurant quickly.
- May experience prolonged periods of standing.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
