Position Summary:
The Nurse Resident is a current student or a recent graduate of an approved program of nursing who has been accepted into the El Centro Regional Medical Center Transition to Practice Nurse Residency Program. The nurse resident provides direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and as appropriate to all current licensures or certifications.
The unlicensed Nurse Resident may perform only those skills that may be provided by unlicensed personnel and for which they have demonstrated competency. Skills permitted include those that have been taught in an approved program of nursing and/or in orientation to the facility or assigned unit, and are within the scope of nursing.
The Nurse Resident who has been granted a Temporary Registered Nurse License, an Interim Permit, or a Nursing License from the California Board of Registered Nursing may perform, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, all skills/procedures with the scope of nursing, and for which they have demonstrated competency.
In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Act, El Centro Regional Medical Center (ECRMC) posts the pay range for all jobs. Please note that actual pay will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please also note this range is applicable for employees who reside in California only. A geographical pay differential may be applied for remote employees who reside out of state. - Must be a current student or a graduate of an approved nursing program and awaiting RN licensure; and
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- If a current student, must have passed Semester I, II of an approved nursing program.
