About the Role
The El Centro Elementary School District is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director of Special Education and Student Services to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing special education programs, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise staff members assigned to the Special Education and Student Services Department, or other staff members as designated by the Superintendent.
- Oversee, supervise, and evaluate student services programs/staff, including but not limited to, school psychologists, pupil services and attendance counselors, and other assigned counselors.
- Work with Principals, certificated staff, and support personnel to develop, monitor, and evaluate State, Federal, and district special education and student services programs.
- Represent District in SELPA Operations Committee and other SELPA committees as assigned.
