JOB SUMMARY
The Temporary Resident Services position provides short-term, on-site support to residents and the Community Manager at Plaza Roberto Maestas. This five-week assignment is intended to ensure continuity of resident services and office coverage during an immediate staffing need. The position works in the Plaza office Monday through Friday and serves as a point of contact for residents, assisting with resident questions, requests, referrals, documentation, and other day-to-day resident service needs. This is a temporary five-week assignment and does not include an apartment or other housing as part of the compensation package.

• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with resident information.
• Comfort working in an office environment and following established office procedures.
• Basic computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and communities.
• Bilingual Spanish/English skills strongly preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Provide professional, respectful, and responsive customer service to Plaza Roberto Maestas residents.
• Maintain a regular presence in the Plaza office Monday through Friday.
• Respond to resident questions, requests, concerns, phone calls, and emails in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist residents with identifying needs and connecting them with appropriate El Centro de la Raza programs, community resources, and supportive services.
• Provide referrals and basic navigation assistance for resources such as food, rental assistance, employment, utilities, and other available benefits and services.
• Assist residents with completing forms, applications, and other documentation as appropriate.
• Assist with resident outreach and follow-up.
• Receive resident maintenance concerns and ensure requests are appropriately communicated and tracked.
• Maintain appropriate resident documentation, files, and records while protecting resident confidentiality.
• Assist with notices, correspondence, mailings, and other resident communications.
• Support resident events, activities, and community engagement efforts as needed.
• Assist the Community Manager with resident service-related projects and administrative tasks.
• Maintain accurate information and assist with basic data collection and tracking.
• Communicate professionally with residents, employees, vendors, clients, and community partners.
• Follow Fair Housing requirements, organizational policies, confidentiality requirements, and established office procedures.
• Respond calmly and professionally to stressful or sensitive resident situations and elevate concerns to the Community Manager when appropriate.
• Provide Spanish/English interpretation or translation as needed, when applicable.
• Perform other temporary resident services duties as assigned during the five-week assignment.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Works primarily in a general office environment at Plaza Roberto Maestas. The employee is expected to work on-site Monday through Friday for the duration of the five-week temporary assignment. The position may require regular interaction with residents and coordination with property management and Housing & Economic Development staff.
TEMPORARY ASSISGNMENT
This position is being established specifically to address a short-term operational and resident services need at Plaza Roberto Maestas. The assignment is limited to five weeks. Continuation beyond the temporary assignment is not guaranteed and would require a separate, formally established position and applicable hiring process.
