We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Front Desk Patient and Insurance Coordinator to join our dental care team. Duties
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and guiding them through check-in procedures
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility
- Collect and update patient information accurately in EHR systems
- Review documentation for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and dental coding standards
- Schedule appointments efficiently using dental scheduling software while managing multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy
- Process insurance claims and follow up on unpaid or denied claims to optimize collections
- Maintain organized dental records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with health information management protocols
- Assist with billing procedures related to Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance providers while supporting dental billing processes
- Support clinic operations by performing clerical tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and managing office supplies
Requirements
- Proven experience in dental office management or dental care administrative support within a clinical setting
- Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems
- Familiarity with dental terminology, ADA codes, coding standards, and insurance verification processes
- Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently
- Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with strong typing skills (including 10 key typing)
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
