What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Crew position at El Arka Plaza?
Job Overview
We are a new Colombian restaurant in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, and we would love for you to join our Kitchen Crew! We have a heart for bringing the tastes of traditional home cooked meals from Colombia here to Colorado. Our Kitchen Crew is in charge of preparing, cooking, and assembling the meals for our customers here at El Arka from our Food Truck. Experience in the fast food and/or overall restaurant cooking industries is required.
Duties
- Learn and execute recipes on our menu (burgers, hot dogs, bowls, etc.)
- Properly fry and cook a la carte items such as empanadas, fries, and cheesy breads.
- Properly sanitize and organize the prep and cooking areas (grill, fryer, ovens, sinks, etc.)
- Work with foods with possible allergens (lactose, eggs, wheat)
- Coordinate the organization and safety of the Food Truck (e.g. gas tank refills, water supply fills and drainage)
- Resolve issues with customers (food not right, extra utensils needed, questions about menu or business, etc.)
Requirements
- 1 years of restaurant/fast food cooking and kitchen experience
- Bilingual -Spanish & English (Preferred)
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Be able to lift 50lbs
Schedule
We are open Monday-Saturday, closed on Sundays. This job comes with a flexible schedule and position (part-time or full-time). Our hours are:
MON: 3pm-8pm
TUES: 12pm-8pm
WED: 12pm-8pm
THURS: 11am-9pm
FRI: 11am-9pm
SAT: 11am-9pm
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
