Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute digital-first content strategies that support organizational goals and enhance the user experience across web properties.
- Create, update, and optimize website content to ensure it is clear, engaging, accessible, and user-focused.
- Partner with marketing, communications, product, design, and development teams to build seamless user journeys across new and existing digital experiences.
- Write and edit high-quality content, including messaging frameworks, headlines, body copy, microcopy, and calls-to-action.
- Lead and support content testing initiatives, including A/B testing and content experiments, to improve engagement and usability.
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data, user research, and web analytics to inform content strategy and continuous optimization.
- Apply SEO best practices, accessibility standards, content governance principles, and UX writing techniques to maximize discoverability and user satisfaction.
- Establish and maintain content standards, governance processes, and best practices across digital channels.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality deliverables and meeting deadlines.
- 5–7 years of experience in content strategy, content design, UX writing, digital content creation, or a related field.
- Experience developing content strategies that align business objectives with user needs and digital experiences.
- Strong ability to work independently, manage complex projects, and balance strategic planning with hands-on content creation.
- Experience using analytics, user research, and content performance data to guide decision-making.
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices, UX writing principles, accessibility standards (WCAG), and content governance.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging for multiple audiences.
- Understanding of user-centered design principles and the role of content in improving digital experiences.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, marketers, product managers, and subject matter experts.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Marketing, Digital Media, UX, or a related field.
- Experience working within the healthcare, life sciences, or nonprofit sectors.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), digital publishing platforms, and enterprise web environments.
- Experience supporting large-scale website redesigns or digital transformation initiatives.
